DOCUMENTS TO CARRY FOR US STUDENT VISA INTERVIEW

In the process of visa application for USA, the students are required to carry some important documents for US Visa Interview.

• DS 160 confirmation

DS 160 confirmation is a form that contains bar code that is submitted online to get confirmation about the appointment regarding your interview at the embassy or consulate for the visa. In order to do so, go into the Consular Electronic Application Center website and select the Embassy or Consulate at which you are applying. The DS 160 application is valid for 30 days after applying. 

• Form I-20

Form I-20 is a document required by the students who are non-immigrants and had to go for their studies in the US. This document is given by the university in which you have taken admission. It is an important document that you need to keep safe as is required at many places. Also, you need to carry this document while going for the interview.

• Photo

You need to carry your professional photo which is decent and presentable in front of the consul. You should prefer carrying your latest photo. And carry minimum 2 colored photos.

• Passport

A passport is the basic requirement that you need to carry while interview. It is one of the most important documents required by the individual which is needed every time while visiting any foreign country. Ensure that you are carrying the unexpired passport.

• Academic proof

You need to carry all your academic documents of previous qualifications like all the degrees, marksheet, transcript, marksheet of 9^th to 12^th if you are going for under graduation. You should also prefer carrying all the certificates of non-curricular activities, certificates of any work experience, or internships.

• Proof of funds

You need to carry all the original proof of funds related to your statement of the previous three years. And Authentic and Original C.A. statement showing a summary of fixed and liquid assets dated 4-5 days before the visa interview date.

• SEVIS fee receipt

You need to carry the original receipt of the SEVIS fee you have paid at the time of applying for the visa in the US.

• Interview confirmation letter

You need to carry the letter of confirmation of interview as proof that you have been allotted with a slot for the interview.
